By TDE Editorial Team / 22nd December 2020

WE ASKED AMARYLLIS Jacobs, co-founder and co-director, with Kwinten Lavigne, of Brussels-based gallery MANIERA, to answer our Christmas questionnaire.  Their specialism is supporting the production of design pieces by artists and architects including figures like Bijoy Jain of Studio Mumbai, Christoph Hefti and Francesca Torza.

Which collectible design object would you like Father Christmas to bring you?
I would love a curtain by Petra Blaisse.

Why this object?
I’m an absolute curtain addict. If I could, I’d place them everywhere in interiors and in scenographies, as they bring warmth, protection and help to make beautiful scenes … Petra’s curtain creations are not only functional, but are artworks in their own right. They’re very recognisable – often in OMA (Office for Metropolitan Architecture) buildings.

On Christmas day, which chair will you be sitting on?
I will, of course, be sitting on a Studio Mumbai chair – The ‘Dining Chair II’.
